Students of 15 Lahore varsities demand end to emergency

LAHORE: After intensive negotiations, students of 15 universities and
institutes of the City have agreed to a unified stance on turmoil in
Pakistan.

Events unfolded with a confusing pace today. Chairman Khan was initially designated to march into Punjab University from Barket market, Garden Town.

However, due to extremely heavy police contingents placed along all he entry points of Pakistan's largest university, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf quietly entered the campus with a few workers earlier in the morning. By 10 pm however, things began to go
wrong.

Pakistan Crackdown

This incredible level of suppression is unprecedented. The media has
been crushed. All TV channels have been taken off air. Office bearers
of political parties are being arrested. Protests cannot be covered.
Phone lines are tapped or jammed at will. Even pictures of peaceful
protests of LUMS students on-campus on Monday's (November 5th) papers
has resulted in police vans posted outside the campus gates.

Imran Khan safe, PTI supporters urged to join lawyers protests from Monday

The Secretary General of PTI Shahid Zulfiqar has verified that Imran Khan is,
at the moment, in hiding and evading capture by police. It is possible
that Imran Khan will join the lawyers protest in Lahore on Monday. All PTI
supporters and the public at large are requested to rally around the lawyers,
and hold historic protests starting Monday to depose the brutal tyrant. This is
the hour to change Pakistan's destiny and no one should fear the authorities
because our cause is just and worthy.

Imran Khan says Musharraf should face death penalty

ISLAMABAD:
Opposition politician and former cricketer Imran Khan said Saturday
that President Pervez Musharraf has committed treason and should face
the death penalty for declaring a state of emergency.

Imran
Khan also called on the Pakistani people to resist Musharraf's move and
not to recognise the new chief justice appointed by the military ruler.

Rally against Waziristan Operation and Karachi Attacks

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf workers staged a protest against the continuing operations in Waziristan in which hundreds of innocent Pakistanis have been killed. The operations have been conducted in true dictatorial manner without any debate or approval from the parliament.  
 

October 17 rally to Islamabad

All PTI Lahore activists are urged to participate in the rally outside the Supreme Court building in Islamabad as it hears the petitions on the presidential election fraud being conducted under the name of democracy.

PTI workers from across Pakistan will congregate outside the highest court of the land in support of the independence of the judiciary. Lahore's activists will be lead by their leader Shabbir Sial.
